Healing Spiritually

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

A vital step in healing is to separate the hurt caused by imperfect individuals from God's perfect character. The church consists of flawed, sinful individuals who may fail to embody Christ's love. When they do, it can be tempting to transfer our disappointment with humans to God. However, recall that God is not the source of your pain; he is the perfect Shepherd who desires to heal your wounds. While the church may fail, Christ will not. By focusing on Jesus, you can reestablish your spiritual practices and find healing in your personal relationship with him.

My prayer for you today is that you allow God to heal you spiritually.
