Depend on Jesus

This is my desire, to honor You. Lord, with all my heart I worship You; all I have within me I give You praise. All that I adore is in You. Lord, I give You my heart; I give You my soul. I live for You alone. Every breath that I take, every moment I'm awake, Lord, have Your way in me.

As I strive to live for Jesus with every breath, I occasionally struggle with feelings of unworthiness. However, I am reminded of Apostle Paul's words in Romans 7, where he describes the spiritual conflict between a believer's desire to do good and the persistent presence of sin. Paul explains that this internal battle highlights the limitations of the law in achieving righteousness and emphasizes the believer's ongoing need for Christ's grace. This humbling reminder underscores my inability to act rightly and my increasing need for a savior, which is precisely when Romans 8 becomes relevant. Romans 8 provides the victorious solution found in Jesus Christ and the empowering work of the Spirit.

My prayer for you today is that you never forget to depend on Jesus.
