An Eternal View

Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

This presents a significant difficulty for most people, as it requires sacrifice and suffering, two outcomes that nobody willingly accepts. Jesus subsequently provides the justification for this in verse 25, posing the question of what value lies in acquiring the world while forfeiting one's soul. Working for Jesus is not a simple task, but it offers considerable rewards.
